PATRICK MICHAEL HERNISEY,
September 1, 1967 to April 12, 2019,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected death of our beautiful brother, uncle and friend. Patrick Hernisey passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2019. He left this world much too soon and will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
He was the son of the late Rosemary Hernisey who preceded him in death on February 13, 1991, and Robert Hernisey. Patrick leaves to carry on his legacy, his sister Debbe Mays, his brother Gregg (and Sherrie Jane) Hernisey, and a niece whom he adored, Caitlyn Rose Hernisey.
He graduated from Triton Regional High School in Southern New Jersey and attended College graduating with a Marketing degree. For years he worked in Marketing and Sales in Philadelphia, mostly in the newspaper industry. He moved to Michigan where he continued to work in Marketing and Sales for local radio stations and recently returned to Philadelphia almost two years ago.
Those who knew Patrick will forever remember him for his sincere compassion for people, his love for animals (especially dogs), enjoyment of cooking, and his passion for horror films. He had an innate ability to relate to people from all walks of life and his presence will be everlasting amongst his friends. He will be remembered for his sharp wit, sarcastic humor, and his gigantic heart. He touched so many lives and brought happiness and a smile to everyone he encountered.
We created the Patrick Hernisey GoFundMe Celebration of Life Reception fund as many of his friends have asked for a way to help contribute towards the reception. All donations will go directly towards the cost of the event.
Any donations that exceed the cost of the event will be donated to a local Humane Society, in honor of Patrick.
