Patrick Dobbin

It is with deep sadness that I share with you that our colleague Patrick Dobbin passed away.

Patrick was a writer who shared that he, like so many writers, worked many other jobs before finding his niche, including stints as a busboy, waiter, receptionist, and a super-shuttle driver. Patrick began putting his wordsmithing skills to use when he joined Veritas in 2004 as a principal information developer and remained through the acquisition by Symantec until 2018. He later rejoined DigiCert as a contractor before rejoining full-time in 2019 until the time of his death.

Patrick was more than just a colleague; he was a valued member of our team. Even if you never met him, you probably know his work. He wrote content for our products, our website and digicert.com documents. He also worked on user experience content. His dedication, hard work, and positive attitude made a significant impact on everyone around them, and he will be dearly missed.

We know Patrick’s colleagues in Sunnyvale and across DigiCert are deeply hurt about his death, and we encourage you to take the time you need to grieve and support each other during this challenging period.
