Reaching out asking for help.

Hello, I'm recently unemployed after 23 years working for the same company. My position was eliminated. There wasn't a warning, and the news came as a devastating shock. My job has been the one constant in my adult life, and I honestly feel lost right now. The last 5 years has been constant trauma from back-to-back cancers to sepsis and with this job loss, the hits don't seem to be letting up anytime soon.

I've managed to avoid starting up a Go Fund Me as I was keeping my head above water, but I don't see any way around it. There are so many people that need help right now and I unfortunately find myself in the position of being one of them. Unemployment isn't going to come close to covering my rent, utilities, cobra insurance and substantial medical bills.

Please know I appreciate every person reading this. If you're able to help me in this situation, I'm deeply appreciative. If you're not able to, I'm sending you good energy with the hope the tide also changes for you soon. I'm looking forward to getting back on my feet as soon as possible.

I'm not sure what my next steps are but I do know another job in Corporate America is not one of them. I would love to bring the skills I've learned in big business to a small non-profit. I want to be able to close out my day knowing I did something to improve the lives of as many people as possible. Every day. That's my dream anyway.
