Patrick Burns Charity Event
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
The NYU and Lexington community tragically lost 24-year-old Patrick Burns in a car accident on May 6, 2018. Patrick graduated from Lexington High School in 2012. He went on to continue his education at New York University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 2016. He also starred for four years on the men’s basketball team as he helped the program reach the NCAA tournament in his senior season.
Patrick’s passions were faith, family, friends and basketball. The Burns family has asked that proceeds of the event benefit a youth organization that Patrick enjoyed giving back to – Young Life, 501(c)(3).
Whether you knew Patrick as a friend, roommate, teammate, classmate or player whom you coached, please join us in CELEBRATING his life by participating in the 3-on-3 tournament or by donating.
SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 9th, we are hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the Barclays Center. It will be an 8-team tournament and the format will be Round Robin.
There are THREE ways in which you can CELEBRATE Patrick Burns:
1. Donate $25 (or a multiple of 25) to honor Patrick’s uniform # at Lexington and NYU.
2. Donate $50 to attend the event at Barclays Center to cheer on teams and enjoy the day with friends.
3. Create a 4-5 person team and donate $100-125/individual ($500 collectively as a team). Team with the most wins will be rewarded!
We greatly appreciate any donation amount – large or small – you are willing and able to contribute. THANK YOU!
