Patricio has steadfastly taken care of so many of us over the past nearly two decades whether it was an emergency leak in the irrigation, building elements of the landscape or the regular care and maintenance of our gardens ... and now Patricio needs our help!
About 6 weeks ago, Patricio was diagnosed with Stage 3 Stomach Cancer. This is a frightening diagnosis for him because he lost his own father to the same cancer and also because it means that he is unable to work while he is receiving treatment. The doctors are positive about his prognosis and treatment which began last week, but the financial toll this is taking on Patricio and his family is an additional burden to bear while he needs to focus on his battle and recovery. Patricio Jr has taken the helm of the business and is continuing to take care of all of us while his father recovers ... so please continue to support them through their business.
But this is also where WE come in as a community ... Let's do what we can to help cover some of the expenses so that Patricio can focus on healing. It is CRITICAL that he continue to pay his medical premiums (Kaiser) and treatment costs. They are already having to delay payments to manage financially. All funds collected will go toward medical premiums and treatment costs.

Note on how funds will be delivered to Patricio:
We have talked with Patricio and his family about the best way to get the funds to Patricio, keep things as simple as possible and not add more things to their plate to manage (online banking/transfers, etc). Dr. Babak Kharrazi who is part of the community and a good friend of Patricio's will be withdrawing the funds from the GoFundMe platform and delivering them in the form of a cashiers check that can be deposited in an account to pay the medical bills and expenses.
