Hello, my name is Nelda, and I am the grand-niece of Pat’s late husband, Imants Plotnieks.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Patricija “Pat” Plotnieks. She touched so many lives with her kindness, love, and generosity, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Pat had a gentle spirit and a special love for cats, which brought her great comfort and joy throughout her life.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, Pat left no financial resources to cover end-of-life costs. It is possible she may have been taken advantage of financially or affected by illness, leaving nothing behind to help with these expenses.
At this difficult time, we are raising funds to help cover burial expenses and give Pat the respectful farewell she deserves. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that contributions be made toward these costs. Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden on the family and allow us to focus on honoring Pat’s memory.
She will be delivered to rest at Latvian Memorial Park in the Catskills, Cemetery address: 414 Bloomer Road, Tannersville, NY 12485, USA, where she will be reunited with her parents and her late husband, Imants. Her husband, who passed away on December 2, 2011, was a devoted member of the Latvian community and volunteered his Wednesdays helping to build the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John in Newtown Square, PA.
The fall 2025 ceremony (October 4–5) was too soon for us to make the arrangements, we planned to have Pat’s ceremony during the spring service on Memorial Day weekend, May 23–24, 2026. Unfortunately, because nothing had been properly organized and planned by Pat, we have had to postpone the ceremony to September/October 2026, in hopes that by then all bureaucracy, legal requirements, and final documentation will be completed in accordance with U.S. regulations. I am thanking from bottom of my heart to Philadelphia Latvian Lutheran Church, The Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. John, especially to Pastor Gija Galins and Vilnis Ore. https://latvianluthchurchphila.org/contact-information/
We are deeply grateful for your prayers, love, and support. I will keep everyone updated here.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Pat will be delivered here:
