Patricia's Rent Crisis: Job Fell Through

My name is Patricia, and I recently moved with my child from Georgia to Florida for a new job opportunity. I left my old job and spent a lot of money on the move and the apartment deposit, hoping for a fresh start. Unfortunately, the job I moved here for no longer exists, and now we are facing a very difficult situation.

Our rent is due soon, and after all the expenses from the move, I have no income coming in right now. I have never been in a position like this before, but I can’t imagine my child and me being without a home. It’s a scary and desperate time for us.
