Patricia Jane McVeigh

With the extreme sadness and unbearable pain we announce that my mother Patricia Jane McVeigh passed on or before 8/23/2023. She went missing the morning of 8/21. She was last seen making a purchase at the local Fry’s Grocery store that she frequently shopped at. She was found 1.7 miles from her home on the side of the road on top a thorn bush behind a guard rail. With her sneakers off and placed neatly near her. The cause of death is currently unknown as we are awaiting the autopsy. We believe there was no foul play but sadly died alone and of natural causes.

We are completely devastated and trying to navigate through the grieving process while still searching for some answers.

My mother is survived by 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She had onset dementia and we can’t help but think if we had more time we would have gotten her an apple tag or some other form of monitoring device- unfortunately she would not wear the life alert that we had previously purchased for her, but if she had some other tracking device she may still be alive.

We would love to give my mom the memorial service she deserves and be able to help my family cover additional costs that have occurred. Any additional funds raised will be donated to the Heather For Missing group and the Alzheimer’s Association. Thank you again for all the kind words, love and support. We know she was loved, we know she knows she was loved. She will be missed so incredibly much and we know her memory will live on with all that knew her ❤️.
