Friends, I have incredibly heartbreaking news to share with you: Patty is in hospice.

Many of you know that Patty has been a Covid long-hauler and hospitalized since the Friday before Thanksgiving 2020.

Last week Patty had an infection go unattended, and it got into her bloodstream! After going into sepsis and having multiple heart episodes, she was moved to hospice, and she now likely has just a few more days to be with us. Patty is my mom and my Earth Angel, and devastated doesn’t even begin to cover the heartache and grief we feel! Patty has been a blessing all over Amarillo, and has served countless hours at St. Andrews, the VA, her home churches and many families. She greeted everyone with a warm smile, rich laughter, and deep fondness, flashing her gorgeous ear-to-ear smile. People loved being around Patty because she always maked you feel so loved!!

For 10 months she has been fighting so hard against all types of ailments! Her family has been so consumed with financing her care and medical expenses that they haven’t even begun to plan for her funeral. They need your help! If Patty has touched your life or blessed you in any way, would you please consider giving? Also, in lieu of flowers/gifts, her family has asked for funds to cover memorial and funeral expenses. Any extra funds will be used to tie up loose ends from her 10 months of hospitalization.
