Hi, my name is Claudia and I am a very close friend of Patricia and her family. I am here to share her story.

Patricia is a married to Elias and mother of a little boy named Abel. In September of 2023, Patricia had a what seemed like a common cold and shortly after getting over the usual seasonal symptoms she found herself with unusual pains in her body. She realized the usual over the counter medicine wasn’t helping so she went to the ER with back pains. She was admitted the same day and the hospital staff went weeks reacting and treating symptoms however unable to find root causes to her health problems. The hospital forced her to be intubated and put into a sedation to allow her body to heal. However, she was not healing nor were they finding what was causing so many health issues which she never had before.

After many tests, doctors and such she was transferred to a different hospital. Patricia was fading fast. This was an attempt by her family to see if a different health care method and team would change Patricia’s situation . They discovered that she had leukemia. Her doctor immediately began chemotherapy to save her life.

She has been over 8 weeks in the hospital and is in continuous treatment. Her husband and few close family friends are daily by her side to advocate for her to be certain she is getting appropriate care. Elias has been unable to work. This was a 2 salary household prior to Patricia falling ill. Little Abel who is 6 needs his mom back. This family has been suffering unbelievable hardships as Patricia continues to be in the hospital. We hope that her medical treatment will turn her health situation around.

Their struggle is real and I am here to plead for help in their favor. The medical and living expenses during this ordeal are staggering. Elias needs to keep the roof over their heads so when Patricia is well enough she will return home from the hospital.
