Please consider supporting the family of Patricia Garner after a tragic loss.
On August 7, 2025, the Garner family’s world was shattered. Patricia Garner — a loving mother, grandmother, and the anchor of her family — was killed in Murrieta, California, by a drunk driver who ran a red light. She had been on her way to pick up a birthday cake for her grandson, Chance, on his special day. The driver had a child and another passenger in the car and was released from jail within 12 hours after posting minimal bail. Patricia’s death is now part of a criminal investigation, delaying her family’s ability to lay her to rest or move forward with important matters such as her home and bills.
Patricia’s children — Michael, Melissa, and Melanie — and her grandchildren, Chance, Cadence, Aiden, and Addison, are devastated. She was also an incredible mother-in-law. Patricia was deeply involved in her grandkids' lives, speaking to or spending time with them every single day. Whether it was their cherished weekly ice cream trips to Menchie’s Murrieta, Sunday football dinners (she knew her football!!), or impromptu dance parties in the living room, she filled their lives with joy, love, and laughter.
We are asking for help to ease the financial burden on Patricia’s family during this heartbreaking time. Your support can take any and all of three forms:
- Donate directly to Patricia’s family through this fundraiser to help cover expenses while they navigate the legal process and prepare to honor her memory.
- Make a donation in Patricia Garner’s name to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) to help prevent tragedies like this and support victims’ families. You can donate to MADD here: MADD
- Pledge to never drink and drive or drive high — make a personal commitment that could save lives. Share your pledge with friends and family, and encourage others to make the same promise so no other family has to experience this kind of loss.
Patricia had so much more life to live, but her story was tragically ended by a drunk driver. Please consider donating — either to her family or to MADD — and sharing this fundraiser to support her loved ones and honor her memory.
