**EDITED FUNDRAISER

On Thursday, December 27 my brother Eric lost the love of his life after a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. She had spent the last year fighting for her life in the hospital in Cleveland after having a double lung transplant. She fought so hard and refused to give up even when the odds were stacked against her. She had incredible strength and determination and she was the sweetest, most kind, loving, selfless human being to walk this earth. She was loved by so many people. I have never seen a person get so much genuine support and love from people all over. No matter her condition, she would do anything for anyone that needed help.

From the time they met, Eric has been by her side. He has been the most amazing, strong, supportive husband to Patrice. He loves her so much that he completely dedicated his life to helping her get better and to be of support through her illness. They had a love that you usually only see in movies. Eric wanted to be by her side every possible second. Even though her recovery was a complete roller coaster, he stayed positive throughout all of it. He had so much hope that she was going to get better. Since her recovery time was a lot longer than they initially hoped, Eric left his job behind so he could stay in Cleveland to be there for her. A good majority of their marriage was spent in hospitals but as long as they were with eachother, they were happy.

When I originally made this fundraiser, it was intended to raise money to help cover the expenses for the extra time they were out in Cleveland away from home. Now that Patrice has passed, I am hoping to raise a little more to try to help with the expenses that will come next.  First,  the costs of getting her back to the Cape where she belongs, her services and last but not least, I’m hoping that we can raise enough funds to help assist Eric with getting back on his feet. I can’t begin to imagine how lost he feels right now. How does he get back to living without the love of his life? I imagine that he is going to need a lot of time before he even thinks about getting a new job. Before Patrice’s lung transplant, He had just graduated from college not too long before and just started a new job. They were living with Patrice’s parents in Cape Cod. Although he has tons of support, I am hoping we can all come together to help him get back to life and to help with whatever we can to try to make things easier on Eric and on Patrice’s family.

So many of you have already been so kind and generous and Patrice was so grateful to have so much support! Please consider donating and share. Let’s come together to help make this heart breaking transition a little less difficult. Thank you for your help!
