Remember the story of the faceless woman and her child lying lifeless in the Libya-Tunisian desert who would later have a face and names of FATI DOSSO 30 and MARIE 6 and their lost father Pato?

Pato is alive and he’s heartbroken to learn of the ultimate demise of their death as he hoped he would die while they survived.

Fati’s real name was MATYLA DOSSO but she was called Fatima because in Libya she had to bear a muslim name to avoid being targeted.

Pato and FATI met in 2016 in Libya while trying to cross the Mediterranean from Qarabulli, Tripoli after a failed attempt to cross the sea, they felt in love and started a family and then Marie was then born of the 12th of March 2017.

they made 5 failed attempts to cross the Mediterranean but each time ended up in the Libyan detention camps, one of them was the Tajoura prison from 1st June to 2nd July 2019 where they miraculously together with their little girl survived the Tajoura bombings.

In November 2019 to February 2020 they were held in Tarik Al Sekka detention center. Pato came out of there with a perforated left eardrum until today he claims that he has not receive treatment for lack of financial support and his ear has been running blood and stink for 4 years.
From 3rd to 22nd May 2020  they were held in Ghout-Al-shaal known as the Al-Mabani facility.
From 5th to 28 August 2021 they were held in Tariq al Matar detention center.

They gave up on their dreams of seeking a better life in Europe and they started to dream for Marie who has never been to school.

their fate ultimately took them to Tunisia on the 13th of July 2023 (not so long ago right) they were 7 in numbers (two women, 1 child and 4 men all headed towards Tunisia and for Pati and FATI they were going to Tunisia to register Marie in a school since she had never been to school since her birth. Her mother's dream was to give her a school education something impossible in Libya.
They arrived in Tunisia on Friday morning, tried to cross the border and the police caught them and beat them with weapons and sent them back to the desert. They stayed there all day and on Friday night they tried again and succeeded. Saturday morning they were already in Bengaden looking for a place where they could drink water and that's where the police intercepted his wife, the child and him but the others were no longer with them because before entering bengaden they separated into a group of 2/2 so Pato was just with FATI and marie. when the police took them, they took them to a checkpoint where they beat them and broke all their phones. They spent the whole night lying on the sand hungrily and on Sunday morning the police transferred them to another post where there were other people intercepted.
The police then dumped them in the desert where they walked for at least 1 hour before Pato lost consciousness, his wife and the child started to cry and he asked them to leave and leave him because if they stayed they would die with him so the best thing was to catch up with the others and enter Libya. They left leaving Pato lying in the desert, he had no more strength and he felt that for him was going to stop there because he was barely breathing from 10 a.m. until nightfall. it was when night fell that he managed to get up but he couldn't walk, he did a few pats and collapse again until what he meet 2 Sudanese by miracle, they give him water and asked him where he was going. He told them that since the morning he have been lying in the desert and it is a miracle if he was still alive. He explained that his wife, his child, himself and several other people were expelled from Tunisia, that he was the only one still there. And they told him that the path he was taking was not the right one, but nevertheless they also were going to libya. Since they had given him water so he regained strength and they walked all night and arrived at the border around 4:30 a.m. since they called for prayer and they heard. They went to bed until morning, and it was Monday morning that they entered Libya.

he knowing that his wife and his child managed to return to Libya, he remained without news of them until he learned the news on social networks, and when they showed him the photos he recognised their clothes and their bodies. It's the exact same position the two always take to bed, he was hoping maybe they're just tired and they'll come back but so far they're not there.

FATI DOSSO is dead and MARIE all the two murdered.

now he’s still stuck in Libya with those horrible memories of moving up and down for years with Marie, today Pato is calling for a financial support to start a legal process to repatriate the bodies of his beloved and give them a dignified farewell.
he doesn’t have a penny at the moment and asks all of you for coins and a legal means for him to access justice and accountability for FATI dosso and Marie
