At the West Syndrome Foundation, we support children with special needs and their families. For them, play, movement, and contact with the outdoors are not a luxury: they are fundamental tools for development, well-being, and therapy.

Today, we want to take another step forward and create an inclusive, accessible playground adapted for use in both winter and summer.

Our goal is to transform the current playground into a safe and protected space, with covered areas, appropriate materials, and inclusive elements that will allow us to:

Participate in outdoor activities year-round

Protect from the cold, rain, and extreme heat

Promote play, sensory stimulation, and socialization

Offer an accessible environment for children with reduced mobility and other specific needs

This playground will be a place where every child can play, learn, and feel free, without the weather being a barrier.

En la sede de la Fundación Síndrome de West, acompañamos a niños y niñas con necesidades especiales y a sus familias. Para ellos, el juego, el movimiento y el contacto con el exterior no son un lujo: son una herramienta fundamental de desarrollo, bienestar y terapia.

Hoy queremos dar un paso más y hacer realidad un patio inclusivo, accesible y adaptado para su uso tanto en invierno como en verano.

Nuestro objetivo es transformar el patio actual en un espacio seguro y protegido, con zonas cubiertas, materiales adecuados y elementos inclusivos que permitan:

Realizar actividades al aire libre durante todo el año

Proteger del frío, la lluvia y el calor extremo

Favorecer el juego, la estimulación sensorial y la socialización

Ofrecer un entorno accesible para niños y niñas con movilidad reducida y otras necesidades específicas

Este patio será un lugar donde cada niño pueda jugar, aprender y sentirse libre, sin que el clima sea una barrera.
