For anyone who has met Des they likely consider her a special part of their life. We are 100% sure she would hate that sentence and tell us exactly that. Because that's who she is. But it's all true. Des is the kind of person that would drop everything in a moments notice for the people she loves. She is the kind of friend everyone needs, she tells you like it is. Brutal honesty, whether you like it or not. She would give you the shirt off her back and would ask for nothing in return. She has a heart of gold and the people in her circle she loves fiercely.
Our dear friend has been struggling with an illness for quite some time. Over the last few months she has been fighting for her life. She has been in and out of the hospital since the beginning of June, with her final stay in the CCU for over a week. It is with our utmost sadness to share that she will succumb to her illness quite soon. She is now being made comfortable and residing with her mom and dad, on hospice care, during her final days.
Jesse, her husband, has been singlehandedly taking care of their children (Addy 12 /Cam 9), while also taking care of Des, and working a full time job. Due to Des's illness progressing, Jess had to step away from work. Much of Jesse's time off has been unpaid, and he is now depleting their savings to buy necessities/pay bills etc. In addition to regular expenses; medical bills are a looming stressor that no family should have to deal with during a time like this.
We are asking for donations for Jess and his children to help him with personal/medical bills as well as upcoming funeral expenses.
This woman lit up our lives. Anything you would be willing to donate to her beautiful family would be appreciated. Thank you.
