Patients for Patients

Lorin Miller started a patient advocacy program called Patients for Patients, but was too ill to finish and launch it. His goal was for patients to share ideas that had helped them live better lives through illness and fundraise so that patients could travel to obtain the best care possible for their condition. Lorin was enrolled in numerous clinical trials throughout his battle with ALK+ Lung Cancer and was constantly at the forefront of advancements in treatment for this disease through these clinical trials. Though it meant traveling from New Jersey to Boston regularly to participate in the trials and receive the targeted therapies, it was well worth it because they prolonged his life for almost 10 years. Lorin Miller passed away on March 17, 2022. His family is going to launch Patients for Patients in his memory.
