Path To The 2022 Commonwealth Games Journey

Hi, my name is Justin Holland.

I've currently been selected for the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games for Freestyle Wrestling. My wrestling competition is on the 6th of August.

It has been 12 years since my last Commonwealth Games venture, and I am even more hungry, determined and fitter than ever going into these Games.

The path as an athlete to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham can quite be financially taxing. As an athlete, we are spending a lot of time a away from home and out jobs and we unfortunately do not getting paid during my time away from Australia.

We are currently in Poland training at the Olympic Training Centre at one of the largest camp during their summer. The Australian team including myself will be competing at the Poland Open as a pre-warm up competition leading towards the Games.

This camp will help prepare me for upcoming tournament(s) and hopefully will guarantee me a medal at the Games in August.

As the journey is financially taxing, any funding is greatly appreciated and I would love your support. Anything helps!
