The Beaded Iris, it’s staff, and wonderful customers would like to invite you to join us in raising funds to help our favorite bead slinger in her battle against cancer. Pat Sylvester has been a loyal asset to our beading community here at the Beaded Iris for the past three years. She has been struggling with a variety of medical issues since the early part of this year and recently learned that she likely has colon cancer that may have metastasized to other organs. Although more testing is necessary before a definitive diagnosis will be determined, what we know is that she is facing a monumental medical journey. Additionally, Pat has a non-specified Collagen Vascular Disease (think Lupus or Fibromyalgia) that has flared up and is exacerbated by stress. 

As we hope you don’t already know, fighting cancer is generally financially daunting. Pat is already feeling the crunch of co-pays bills from testing and medication. We are starting a campaign to raise as much as we can to help her take care of the bills and have one less stressor. 

We will post regular updates on this page to let you know how her journey is progressing. We will also change the amount of the goal as we have more information on the treatment plan and costs associated with the plan.
