On June 30, my dad Pat Gardner was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital for medical treatment after hitting a deer while riding a motorcycle. He sustained multiple injuries, including two fractures that required surgical repair.
Also on June 30, Pat’s insurance through his wife, Brenda, ended. Though they were enrolled in an insurance program that began July 1, each insurance company said the other was responsible for any medical bills after June 30. With two surgeries, an MRI, four nights in the hospital, physical therapy, and medications, the bills are quickly adding up.
As you may know, Pat and Brenda are incredibly hard-working, community-oriented, generous, and helpful people. They are consistently eager to assist in any way they can, and show up for others time and time again. This time, it is our turn to show up for them. There will be a benefit in their honor August 28 at the Dysart Community Building.
Would you be willing to donate to this fundraiser for Pat and Brenda?
