Pat Fullmer - Emergency Surgery fund

Pat has been battling a ongoing sinus infection since January 2021. She had been seeing her doctors regularly to try to resolve it. She was treating it with antibiotics. The week of 7/5 she started having debilitating headaches and developed cellulitis in her left eyelid. She was put on more antibiotics by her doctors.

On Tuesday morning 7/13/21 she didn’t get up and do her usual morning routine. She was discovered still in bed with a high fever, disoriented with limited verbal communication. She was taken to Aurora Medical south via ambulance and admitted. The hospital ran CT scans, X-rays and did bloodwork over the course of Wednesday 7/14.

They discovered that she had pneumonia and that she was septic.

They then conducted a MRI on Thursday 7/15

They found that all of her sinuses were severely infected, she had meningitis and abscesses on her frontal lobe. They transferred her to Saint Joseph’s for emergency surgery for Friday morning 7/16.

She had a 2 part surgery, first Endoscopic Sinus Surgery(flushed all of her infected sinuses) and Bilateral Frontal Craniotomy for Inter-cranial abscess (brain surgery to remove abscesses from her frontal lobe).

Mom has been in recovery since then. She was moved to a rehab facility and currently working on getting on her feet.

We will now be faced with a big medical bill and lots of therapy. She is only allowed to stay in rehab for so long before they will send her home. With the need to reconfigure her living situation , home health care, and more visits to the doctors, we will need financial assistance. With gratitude, we are asking for any help you can give.
