Dear Friends of Pastor William D. Smart Jr ,
As you know the National Democratic Convention will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, July 25th -28th.
I have been elected a Hillary Clinton At-Large Delegate from California to attend the convention. I will network and assist in activities that will build and empower the commuity. I have worked in this arena all my life and it has proven to be one of the most important gatherings for liberation, community activism and political organizing.
This letter is to solicit financial support from my friends to help me with this endeavor. This is something we traditionally see grassroots delegates and alternates do to get to the convention to represent their communities. Well, I will be representing my community and serving in a capacity of honor,activism and professionalism when called upon. I will be lending my expertise to group conversation and decision making. I will speak to community leaders, pastors and voters at this crucial time. But most of all, I will be on sight to assist in the election of Hillary Clinton and doing what I historically have done for the Democratic National Committee, giving my all.
