Pastor Norm Recovery Fund

On Sunday October 20th, our Pastor, Norman Hayes, was brutally beaten after the service at our church leaving his nose was broken in two places, two large cuts on his forehead and very bad bruising over most of his face. A young man, claiming to be a "militant atheist" on his facebook page, attended the service, antagonizing members of the congregation, and being argumentative regarding matters of faith. He waited until everyone had gone and approached Pastor Norm. The young man came with a young girl from the church and Pastor Norm asked her if she felt safe, and questioned her about possible abuse. This set the young man off and he blindsided Norm, knocking him to the ground, where he continued to beat him until Pastor Norm begged him to stop as he thought he might be killed. The police have the person responsible in custody and the justice system is running its course.

Our church and the Hayes family hold on to our faith and believe that forgiveness is available for any situation, but we still believe that the young man should be held responsible for his actions and ultimately serve some time to keep this from happening to anyone else.

Norman has racked up a lot of medical expenses over the last week or so, his wife has lost time at work and there will be counseling and possible . The last thing we want our pastor's family to have to worry about at this time is their ability to take care of their financial responsibilities.

Pastor Norm has had a great impact on people over his years in ministry, and it has been his life's ambition to invest in others. Please join us in donating to alleviate the stress that comes with the burden of medical expenses and allow him to focus on the physical and emotional healing needed to continue pouring himself into the needs of others.

All donations will go directly to:
- Pastor Norm's medical expenses after insurance
- Counseling for the family
- Financial needs because of time away from work
- Potential legal fees
- Any overage will go to their general financial needs during this traumatic time

All donations are tax deductible.
