My name is Greg Mink, a retired/disabled Neuro trauma RN. My neighbor is a combat vet/former Marine who served in the Vietnam War and is a Pastor. Currently, he counsels anyone on benches in front of his home. He is part of an outreach program based in California. He's very proud and very caring.
My goal and request is to help him afford dental implants, both upper and lower. Nobody in this area can afford them. Structurally, in his mouth, standard dentures kept him in agony, and he could not eat without vomiting! He spent time in hospitals when he got too dehydrated from vomiting too much. The decrease in the neutral distance from lack of teeth affects his facial nerve negatively which further aggravates his wide spread fibromyalgia. He suffers greatly from both physical pain and emotional pain from not being able to eat normally, and not feeling complete as a smiling man, he forces a friendly grin. He goes by "Pastor Steve." He is barely (I mean barely) getting by with his wife and daughter. This whole place is quite depressed and almost forgotten about! I grew up in a military family; my family has many that served our country!
I have to help him because it's the right thing to do.
All donations are going directly to the attending Orthodontist, and facility. No proceeds from donations will be pocketed. Every person in this area makes a point to stop and say hello to Steve, passers by always honk and wave. Help me help this Man of GOD!!
Noticed Pastor Steve talking to someone today, even though it was windy and very chilly, The good Pastor shared a cup of coffee with the person ge was working with, as I watched, Steve Beverly interrupted. He listened intently, and fave encouraging pats on the shoulder!!! Honestly, this man tied on tge boots and fought for America without even a second thought. He deserves to be able to smile like the rest of us!! Be he never stops! I xan honestly say, my life is much more now just by knowing him as a friend!!! Thank you all so very much for your help!! No donations will be pocketed, all fees from the attending orthodontist and facility will be paid in full, if there is any remaining funds, they will be automatically donated to another need listed on gofundme.
