Pastor Samuel and community need help

Over 400,000 people fled Goma and many are still moving to find sources of food, water, and shelter.  The UNHCF and Doctors without Borders are doing their best and are unable to keep up with the demand for services.  PCR Foundation is a local NGO where people are going to find supplies they cannot yet access at international relief sites provided by the UN and MSF.   Wherever you want to donate please do so.  The need at PCR is as great as anywhere else.   They are doing their best and will be there when the UN and MSF have left.

Pastor Samuel Muderhwa through an NGO called Peace and Conflict Resolution Foundation provides services to women and children in South Kiva, Democratic Republic of Congo, who are displaced through civil war and lack of resources. Their work has provided the necessities of life such as medical care, food, and housing, as well as educational support for children and entrepreneurial training for women. We have been working on increasing his international visibility to help obtain much-needed funds. Now, with the evacuation of Goma, a nearby region, due to the recent and current threat of volcanic activity, he and his team are being overwhelmed with people who need water, food, medical care, housing, and personal supplies.

While humanitarian aid is beginning to come in it is slow and not necessarily reaching grassroots organizations as quickly as the demands require. I am asking those concerned for these people, who were in the midst of a famine before the volcanic eruption, to please make donations that I will send directly to Pastor Samuel.  To put donations in perspective it costs $40 per person to obtain basic medical care.
