Pastor Marian's Open Heart Surgery Fundraiser

Wendy and I have had the privilege of knowing Marian and his family for over 20 years. Marian is a pastor in Romania, as well as the Executive Director of Value Plus, a non-profit organization in Romania, committed to serving the most vulnerable in Eastern Europe, particularly Romania. His work is focused on education and ending poverty and he is currently leading one of Romania's largest anti-human trafficking efforts. Most recently they have been taking humanitarian aid over the border into Ukraine to provide hope and relief to those affected by the war.

Over the past 20 years, we have traveled to Romania nearly 20 times. With each visit, we are challenged and deeply encouraged by Marian's ministry and vision for Eastern Europe. Many of you have traveled with us or met Marian during one of his visits to the US, and have been the beneficiary of his love and kindness.

We now have an opportunity to share our love and kindness with him and his family. Over the past few years, Marian has been managing significant heart pain and deterioration. Last week, he traveled to Germany for a series of tests. The conclusion was that he cannot wait any longer, he must have immediate open heart surgery.

This surgery needs to happen in the next two weeks and he must pay for the total bill before the surgery. The cost of this surgery will be $50,000. We are grateful for the few individual donors and churches who have already made donations. Currently, we need to raise $35,000.
