Pastor Kang (강순익 목사님)'s Passing

Pastor Soon-Ik Kang was the pastor for Holy Mountain Church of Vancouver for more than 10 years. He lived as a servant of God and truly devoted himself to the church and the community during his time.

In September, during his return from a ministry trip to Argentina, he had a heart attack and passed away in a small hospital in Argentina. Due to complicated legal procedures, his body could not be brought back, so his ashes were brought to his family in LA. His funeral was held at Shalom Church of Southern California (남가주 샬롬교회), the church he attended after his retirement, last Saturday Oct 1st.

Pastor Kang was such a faithful, kind, and capable leader of the community that with his sudden passing, I wanted to offer condolences and support to his family that his life and service is appreciated and remembered.

All the donations will go to his family to help with the costs of his death and funeral.
