On April 16 Pastor John went to the ER, and was admitted due to abdominal pain and liver failure. He remains in the hospital as they work to identify the cause of illness and provide treatment. There is a possibility he may be transferred to another hospital that has trained specialists for his condition. Financially, this is a strain on the family as they may have to pay deposits and hospital bills upfront in the next coming days. Those costs accumulate each day he is there. There is possibility of reimbursement for some of the bills in the future, however there is a large upfront deposit being requested by the hospital at this time. Pastor John and Jamie have eight wonderful children ranging from two to eighteen years of age, some with medical needs of their own. Our goal as friends and family is to help reduce the financial burden so that Jamie can focus on advocating for Pastor John’s care. Pastor John and Jamie have a profound faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and have spent many years serving the community in different ways. Pastor John is the pastor of Castaic Community Church, and he also serves on the Castaic Union School District Board. He and his family have generously and humbly served in the community through leadership in the church, the local school district, sporting organizations, and other outreaches. They are waiting on the Lord through this trial and trust Him to provide for their needs. Times are hard for so many right now and many of us face financial burdens of our own.
