On Sunday morning heavy thunderstorms rolled through the San Antonio area. While the family was getting ready for church, lightning struck Pastor Jon Martin’s house. The resulting fire started in the attic and spread causing severe structural damage to the house. The smoke and water damage has ruined all of their personal belongings and household items.

We are thankful for the Lord's protection on the Martin family and they were able to get out of the house without injury. We are thankful for the efforts of the fire department that worked so hard to put the fire out as quickly as possible.

While the family is working to determine if the house is repairable, they are in temporary housing. The family will have a lot of expenses during this time as they replace basic needs like clothes and shoes.
