Hi, my name is Melida, and I am fundraising for my dad's funeral expenses. My dad was a pastor who served the Lord diligently. After retiring, he moved to Nicaragua but always made time to visit his children in Canada. During his last visit a few weeks ago, he fell and broke his hip. He underwent surgery and was recovering well. However, a few days ago, while in rehab, my dad went into cardiac arrest and passed away.

Our family is now facing not only the funeral expenses here in Canada but also the wish to send my dad back to Nicaragua, his beloved home, for his final resting place. We were unprepared for his passing and are not in a financial position to fulfill his request to be buried in Nicaragua.

My dad was a father figure to many, having adopted and cared for many as his own "children," even though they were adults. He had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel loved and valued, always giving them his attention and blessings. Even while in pain, he continued to minister and bless others.

We are appealing to family, friends, and anyone who knew my dad and can attest to his impact on their lives to kindly consider donating to this cause. Pastor Ibarra served the Lord with dedication and pride, leaving a tremendous mark on my life and my family's life. He will be dearly missed.
