My family history
In December of 1989 my parents and twin brother moved to Kenya to become missionaries for the Christian church. In our short few years there we formed deep family ties with the closest village, the Lolchoki family. Our family became close to Daniel in particular as he did not have a Mother. Soon after we met, he lost his Father as well. Throughout the years we have stayed in touch and Daniel has sought to start his own church in the little town of Ntulele where we grew up.
The Need
Toby and I visited Daniel and his family in March this year and we saw he had many needs. One of his biggest needs is transportation. He has three children and a wife and in order for them to get to his church they have to pay for a ride to take them as far as it will go. The ride drops them off on the side of a road and they walk the remaining several miles to teach in the church.
My Hope
I would love to raise money for Daniel to be able to purchase a vehicle so he can safely take his family to continue serving their community. He already has a drivers license so let’s take him to the next step and change his family’s life and help him reach his community through theuse of a car!
