It is with heavy hearts that we, the extended Chan family set up this fund to help pay for funeral expenses for Pastor Alonso Chan, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle.
On Christmas Eve of 2020, after a courageous battle with COVID-19, Pastor Alonso Chan succumbed to the virus that has taken so many lives this year. He went peacefully to his rest at the age of 84 while receiving treatment at Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley, CA.
Pastor Chan is survived by his loving wife Delia, daughter Daisy, son Alonso Jr., brothers Rafael and Manuel, sisters Christina and Beatrice, and a large extended family. The Chan family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time and for the heroic efforts of the healthcare workers on the frontlines at Riverside University Health System and beyond.
Pastor Chan is remembered for being kind, gentle, compassionate, and a man of deep conviction. He will be most remembered for his many years of service as a pastor where he mentored others, encouraged the brokenhearted, and shared the path of vibrant living by following Jesus Christ. We are comforted in knowing that he touched countless lives in his many years of service and that we will see him again on resurrection morning.
