Pastor Albalos's Stroke Emergency Fund
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Natalie Koch, and I'm helping to raise funds for my father, Pastor Monte Albalos.
My husband and I were preparing to leave Hawaii to pursue foreign missions after separating from the Air Force. My dad came to see us off and help us move out of our house when he unexpectedly had a massive stroke on both sides of his brain. Suddenly he found himself 2,400 miles from home, unable to speak, having difficulty walking, and admitted to the emergency room. He was hospitalized at Queen's Medical Center on Oahu. As a pastor of a local congregation in Monterey, CA, he did not have any medical insurance, and healthcare in Hawaii is very expensive. His final hospital bill (before follow-up care, physical therapy, and lifetime medication) was just over $99,000, but praise God that He made a way for it all to be covered retroactively. Therefore, all funds raised will be used to support him while he continues to recover and is unable to work.
We are so thankful for all the prayers, and we are happy to report that God is doing an amazing work. Just three days after his massive stroke, he was eating, walking, and having full conversations again. We know that the need is great, but our
God is greater, and He makes a way where there seems to be no way. Thank you so much for being a blessing!
