Story

      SUPPORT THEO 'T-ROCK' MCDOWELL ON HIS BASKETBALL JOURNEY!   Yes... The ball keeps rollin', and the opportunities add up, and so do the expense! But, for an 'elite' player from a small area, it's a challenge! A challenge we are up for! We are committed, our son is dedicated, and working hard to get better! With the help of our friends, families and supporters, we can do continue on this journey!   We are raising funds, awareness and positive movement to help our son, local 10th grade basketball standout, Theo "T-Rock" McDowell (class of 2024), continue on his path in the game he loves, by attending advanced camps, clinics and coaching opportunities.   Most recently, McDowell was invited to the exclusive Ball is Life Jr. All-American Camp, competing with & against the nations's top middle school players, and was named a 'Top 40' class of 2024 player in California by 'All Cali Basketball.' He plays competitive basketball for elite AAU travel squad, 'Born 2 Ball.' He is known as a 'Point/Forward' with excellent court vision, size, power, playmaking and scoring ability, as well as an 'elite' defender.   A product of Sonoma County, Theo 'T-Rock' McDowell has honed his skills on area playgrounds, courts and gyms, as well was traveled to elite camps, clinics, and coaching opportunities through out California. The son of local musician/producer Gabriel McDowell, and Jessica Bull McDowell, renowned local basketball coach & teacher, former collegiate basketball player & star 'post' player at El Molino High School, Theo 'T-Rock' McDowell has been playing, practicing and studying basketball since the age of 18 months. He is 15 now...   His mom was his first coach, and remains to this day, starting with 'Little Hoopers,' a toddler basketball program, onto Boys & Girls Club, through CYO, both teams coached by his Mom, onto Sonoma County Cagers & NBBA AAU travel teams, and now onto our own developmental & competitive program, Born 2 Ball Basketball.   Theo McDowell is dedicated, focused and self motivated. He has committed his time and energy to better his game, and put in the hard work necessary to someday be a great player. His parents have supported him, and done everything in their power to foster this rising star! Yet, for advanced players, it’s necessary to pursue opportunities that present the highest level of coaching, development and competition. This takes players and parents far flung, to attend these top level opportunities.   The costs quickly add up, and the family has set up a 'Go Fund Me' page to help with the costs of traveling to and attending clinics, camps and coaching opportunities.
