I'm Kamilah, a London-based actor from Canada, who has recently found an intrigue in the art of filmmaking, I'm currently raising funds for my final film project for my Masters. Face Eaters is a sharp, unsettling dark comedy, When old university friends reunite over a polished dinner, buried secrets and twisted desires resurface. Colliding past and present in one night of chaos, betrayal, and unraveling identity.

The Questions We Want To Answer?

What are the faces that people put on for society’s benefit?

What happens when the past faces you with the truth?

We are attempting to comment on the masks we wear in order to comfort to others expectations, however, in the cold light of day, over the course of a dinner party. Truth emerges. Bonds are torn apart. Even among the younger generations, class is still predominate but with a new cultural language.

This project reflects a reality many of us in creative and professional London feel. we’re constantly calculative on how we appear class-wise, gender-wise, politically to survive. This film dramatizes what happens when that performance collapses.

Supporting Women in Film

This is a woman-led production. Every head of department from DOP to Editor is a woman or non-binary creative, and we want to be supporting emerging voices in film.

We are raising funds to support the essential costs of producing this film.

These include:

Production design and props, with a focus on creating a symbolic, curated dinner setting.

Cast and crew support, including meals, transport, and fair compensation for their time

Post-production festival submission fees
