Hello, I'm Yinka! A filmmaker passionate about telling bold, character-driven stories that challenge perspectives and spark conversation. I’m here to introduce 'Passing Through', a project that was born out of passion for exploring the quiet, unspoken struggles of identity, love, and belonging.
During COVID, the world shut down. The vastness of it all made me feel small and insignificant. After the world reopened, I moved from NY to LA, chasing a dream, hoping to find myself. But a car accident quickly changed everything. The loneliness that followed was overwhelming, deeper than anything I had ever felt. LA was everything I wanted, a city I loved—but didn’t love me back.
ABOUT THE FILM - 'PASSING THROUGH'
This story follows YAYA, as she navigates New York’s chaos, Los Angeles’ illusions, and Kyoto’s quiet solitude, hoping that somewhere, she will feel whole. A brief but intense love affair with Dan, a married man, mirrors the patterns of her past—forcing her to confront hard truths.
Passing Through is a reflection of that journey—of feeling like a ghost in your own life. This film is deeply personal, and I’m so excited to bring it to life! I intend to create something that lingers in the heart, especially of those who have ever felt lost, unseen, or simply like they were Passing Through.

- Cast and Crew – From actors to assistants, we need to compensate everyone fairly for their time and expertise.
- Post-Production – Once filming wraps, the editing, sound design, and music composition will need funding to complete. This phase is essential to ensuring the film looks and sounds its best.
