"Passing Through" - Short Film

Hello, my name is Jonathan Rigler, and I humbly ask you to join me in bringing my story, “Passing Through”, to life. “Passing Through” tells the story of two young women trying to find their way in a life of uncertainties, obstacles, and expectations. Yet, when their paths cross, it opens up an opportunity to forge a new life with new oppurtunities, doubts, and challenges.

 

I recognize that it's a lot to ask people to help finance an artistic endeavor. But, by contributing to this go fund me, you are contributing to more than just any project, but something I am deeply passionate about. I’ve spent years working in productions (both big and small), but it has always been, and still is, my goal to tell stories as a director. As an ardent student of film, I’m fascinated by the tapestry of films that respond to each other over generations. Now I would like to take the step and add my films to the tapestry of the most significant art form of the 20th and 21st centuries.

 

Collaborating with me on this film are two very talented filmmakers. Andrew Acedo is working alongside me as a creative producer. He has directed two award-winning short films and is currently working on his third short. In addition, Jordan Yagiello, another fantastic filmmaker, will be working with me to edit the short once we enter the post-production phase.

 

All of the funds donated will go to the various aspects of production. Expenses include equipment rentals, location permits, materials for set-builds, props, and food for the cast and crew.
