Passing of Timothy A. Paul, Merchant Marine
Donation protected
On Friday April 17th 2020 at 3:06pm (PST) the Paul family suffered a tragic loss at sea off the coast of California.
Tim was a husband, son, father, brother, friend and a great shipmate. We knew him to be stubborn and knew he played down many things that troubled him. Never a word of his hardships, wins or defeats, he kept going, pursuing life with the fire in his belly to do the best he could for everyone.
Tim had planned a future for himself and family, however, his life was cut short and leaves the burden of unexpected costs and day to day finances.
As sailors, we become accustomed to a level of life and expect nothing less,as we want to provide all we can for our loved ones. We stress about money and how our family will survive in an event that we don’t come home,or when life happens, what we saved is redirected for something else. Even though we may earn a substantial paycheck, on our time off we live for today with our family, as we know tomorrow is never promised. And here we are.
Many expenses will arise with the loss of Timothy A. Paul, as they fall heavily on this grieving family. Support is greatly appreciated to memorialize Tim’s life and to assist his family with future expenses as they face the unimaginable and try to put the pieces back together without him as best they can.
If you can spare what you can, to honor a fallen fellow merchant marine, it would mean the world to this family. There is no amount too small, your support is greatly appreciated.
