Passing of Petr Franchuk
Donation protected
Hello beloved friends and Family, on Monday, March 17th 2025, our father Petr Franchuk was involved in a tragic accident while cutting down some trees on their property. A branch fell from their very big trees straight onto his head knocking him unconscious. Upon admission to the hospital, the CT scan showed multiple fractures along his scull, and bleeding both in and around his brain that doctors said is inoperable and irreversible. At this point the doctors put him into a medically induced coma. As his condition progressed, he had lost all reflexes, lost his reaction to pain, kidneys started shutting down, and on March 21st 2025 at 9:10 AM he was officially confirmed brain dead with scans showing no blood flow to his brain and failing every neurological test. As per South Carolina law the hospital gave us 24 hours with him before removing his life support on March 22nd, causing his heart to stop beating.
Petr Franchuk was a great husband to his wife Vera, father of 11 kids and their spouses, grandfather of 21 children, and friend of many. He had a very good heart, always caring for others and putting them before himself. He was a hard-working, selfless, humble man of God. He served in church, went to every service he could, and made sure he never missed communion. He raised his kids up to love God and serve Him. He is now with the Lord, serving Him face to face. Along with his wife, they touched hundreds of people by hosting prayers at their home every Thursday in Portland, OR. Together they brought encouragement, hope, and peace that will forever impact hundreds of people.
If you have it in your heart to bless Vera, these donations will go towards hospital bills and her living expanses.
We thank you all in advance, if you are not able to support Vera financially, we ask that you may support her and our family with your prayers. That God may give us peace and healing.
