Passing of our dear friend Luisa Piacente
Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague Luisa Piacente. For the last year and a half Luisa courageously battled cancer and on August 13 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Luisa has been a dedicated colleague of Joe Fresh for over 16 years, having been with the company since its inception. She played an integral part in the formation of the brand and dedicated her career to creating the best visual merchandising experience for our customers. Her imprint on the brand is woven into the fabric of what we do. Luisa's vision, style, and relentless pursuit of merchandising excellence will be forever remembered and aspired to.
Luisa will be remembered as a great boss & leader but more importantly she will be remembered as a great mentor and friend. A woman that valued love, friendship, and family above all else. With this sentiment in mind, we hope to honor her memory by starting a GoFundMe page to offer support and assistance to Luisa's two young-adult son's - Ryan and Dylan (or 'Ry' and 'Dyl' as Luisa so affectionately called them).
Ryan and Dylan have had an especially difficult time having also lost their father unexpectantly at the end of 2020 as well.
Our hope is to be able to lift some of the financial burden off Luisa's boys so that they may focus on grieving and healing at this difficult time.
