Passing of Nilda Ocasio
Hi Everyone,
My name is Jaslyn Anton-Ocasio. I am starting this GoFundMe for my Tia Nilda and her family.
Many of you may not know but my Tia Nilda passed away July 11, 2021. She was Diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma back in 2009 and had a wonderful 12 years of life after. She was able to beat cancer twice during these 12 years and was able to witness her children and grandchildren grow. She was able to travel and celebrate many birthdays like she loved to do.
Nilda was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, she was someone we will always hold close to our hearts. Her infectious smile and laugh will remain embedded in all of us. Those who knew her know that we have lost a beautiful soul. She was so full of life and always had a smile on her face. She was selfless and always made sure those around her were taken cared of. Nilda was kind, she was generous and nurtured anyone without hesitation.
This fund is being established to help cover the funeral expenses. The funds will also be used to transport Nilda back to Puerto Rico where she will be laid to rest.
Ultimately, we are all devastated by Nilda's loss, but with the help of everyone I am hoping to bring ease to my family. As my cousins navigate the weeks ahead, I hope that this fund helps them focus on family and healing.

Mi nombre es Jaslyn. Estoy comenzando este GoFundMe para mi Tia Nilda y su familia.
Es posible que muchos de ustedes no lo sepan, pero mi Tia Nilda falleció el 11 de julio de 2021. Fue diagnosticada con cáncer de linfoma de Hodgkin en 2009 y tuvo 12 años maravillosos de vida después. Pudo vencer al cáncer dos veces durante estos 12 años y pudo presenciar el crecimiento de sus hijos y nietos. Pudo viajar y celebrar muchos cumpleaños como le encantaba.
Nilda fue madre, abuela, hermana, tía y amiga, fue alguien a quien siempre tendremos cerca del corazón. Su sonrisa y risa contagiosas permanecerán incrustadas en todos nosotros. Quienes la conocieron saben que hemos perdido un alma hermosa. Estaba tan llena de vida y siempre tenía una sonrisa en su rostro. Ella era tan cariñosa y siempre se aseguraba de los demás. Nilda fue amable, generosa y cuidó a cualquiera sin dudarlo.
Este fondo se establece para ayudar a cubrir los gastos del funeral. Los fondos también se utilizarán para transportar a Nilda de regreso a Puerto Rico, donde la enterrarán.
En última instancia, todos estamos devastado de la pérdida de Nilda, pero con la ayuda de todos, espero aliviar a mi familia. Mientras mis primos navegan por las próximas semanas, espero que este fondo les ayude a concentrarse en la familia y la curación.
