Dear friends of the Gryder Family,

On Friday, March 18th, the Gryder family lost their oldest and only son, Donte Gryder, in a tragic pedestrian / car accident. As you can imagine, the family is going through an unimaginably painful time of grief and loss.

Many of us are friends of the family, and many of our kids knew Donte as he grew up in Hudson Bend and the Lake Travis community. He played football for Lake Travis High School and was also a member of the Lake Travis High School Fishing Team. He absolutely loved to fish, and he loved animals. As an oldest son with three younger sisters, he was kind and patient with children, and all who knew him describe him as the sweetest and most polite young man. He leaves behind his parents, Don and Jana Gryder, three sisters, and numerous extended family members.

This has been a devastating loss for the entire family. The last thing they need to worry about during this time of unbearable pain is how they are going to cope with the substantial expenses they will incur in saying goodbye to their incredibly loved son and brother. I am starting a Go Fund Me to help the family cover the unexpected funeral home costs and the costs of travel to their chosen location to privately mourn his passing and scatter his ashes.
