It is with great sadness and devastation I would like to let you know that Scott Bradley Giles passed away last night (03/14/2023) in his home in San Bernardino California. He was a WONDERFUL father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. As many of you have known that Scott has been ill with one ailment after another over the past several years. Though he has been battling several health problems he always had a positive attitude and generous heart. He was a friend to many. But most importantly he was the best father and grandfather anyone could ever ask for. He always made it clear to his family that helping each other is what family does for each other no matter what. He always was there for me even when I didn't deserve it. He gave me the best example of what a parent should be. I will be forever greatful for his support and love. He was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam during the war as a gunner on a helicopter. He was also a police officer for San Bernardino County and then a Pomona Police officer until 1999 when he was forced to retire because of an injury he suffered while on the job in Pomona. He
also was a lifetime member of S.T.A.R. motorcycle club and rode until his health prevented him. He very much enjoyed riding on his motorcycle with his friends and fellow members. He participated in several charity events while as an active member of the club. Tomorrow I will be contacting the V.A. and other various organizations regarding his celebration of life and funeral services regarding expenses. We also thought he had life insurance to help cover the cost of these events but as it turns out he only had accidental death insurance. Because he passed due to his heart stopping, there is no insurance coverage at all to give us aid during this very hard time.
I appreciate your heartfelt thoughts and prayers as we deal with his passing.
Though my father always told me that he didn't want a big deal to be made about his passing, I believe he deserves it. So if you could please find it in your hearts to help us do so we would really appreciate it.
Thank you from his daughter's Ashley and Erica.
