Pass the Hat for Tommy Benavidez

On the morning of Friday, April 22, 2022, Tommy Benavidez was in a bad car accident while visiting a friend in Colorado. He is currently in a trauma unit in Colorado with a broken pelvis, head injury, back injury and broken ribs. Truthfully, he is lucky to be alive. Thankfully, Andrea, his wife, was able to get out there to be with him fairly quickly. He had surgery to repair his broken pelvis and has a very long road to recovery, but he is already a fighter! Tommy is a loved husband, father, friend, and St Charles Baseball coach, and much more to his family and friends. Let’s virtually “pass the hat” for the Benavidez family to help with travel to and from Colorado and other ongoing expenses the family will incur while Tommy recovers. He will be in Colorado for at least a month before he is able to travel home for care, so Andrea will need to be able to go back and forth for their children and Tommy while friends and family help out at home.

Andrea and I have known each other through the St Charles Baseball organization for years, and she is aware of this fundraiser. All funds raised will go directly to Andrea.
