Brothers and Sisters,
My name is Noah Loomis, proud member and steward of IBEW Local 280. I’m reaching out to ask for your support for a fellow brother — Big Joe Soto — originally from Local 1547 and now part of our Local 280 family.
A few years ago, Joe suffered a devastating shoulder injury that has left him unable to work and in ongoing pain. Despite doing everything he can to recover, the long-term effects have taken a major toll on his health, finances, and family.
After multiple doctor visits and treatments, Joe was recently told that without the proper surgeries, his only remaining options are amputation or permanent loss of mobility in his arm.
Over the past three years, Joe has exhausted his unemployment and state benefits, and his wife has also recently lost her job. They are now in a very difficult position and need our help to get through this.
Anyone who knows Joe will tell you — he’s one of the good ones. Always smiling, always helping, always making the day a little better for everyone around him. He’s a talented craftsman, a hard worker, and a loyal brother to everyone he meets.
Now it’s our turn to lend him a hand.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping Joe get the medical care he needs and giving him the chance to use his arm again.
Let’s show Big Joe that the brotherhood takes care of its own.
In Solidarity,
Noah Loomis
