Pashun Jeffery and Taylen Mosley Memorial
Pashun and Taylen were murdered this week in Saint Petersburg, Fl. Police found Pashun's body on Thursday afternoon, and for 24+ hours, there was an amber alert out for Taylen Mosley. Taylen's body was found on Friday night. See this news article,
We are Pashun’s mom Lakita Denson and Pashun's aunt Theo Brickhouse Sails, as seen in the news brief on Friday when we still had hope of finding Taylen alive (https://www.tampabay.com/news/crime/2023/03/31/missing-st-petersburg-toddlers-dad-is-person-interest-moms-death-police-say/?fbclid=IwAR2HLcIL6BlQBFepqbOCs-Maxivn9Wf_gajDK_h7-T-BrEdQCRGaUgzSo4M)
Together, we are now in the process of making the funeral arrangements for both Pashun and Taylen. We initially set this fundraiser up to help us raise funds in our search for Taylen, and unfortunately, we have to turn this into a memorial fundraiser. Your prayers and positive thoughts have been a blessing to us, and for those who asked about other ways to help, we have set up the fundraiser. Any amount is appreciated and will be used for funeral arrangements and to help support the family.
We want to share more about Pashun and Taylan beyond what has been shared in the news these past few days. Pashun is a native of St. Petersburg, FL, and she attended Benito Middle School, Boca Ciega High School, and Northeast High, where she was an honor student. The picture featured in the campaign is Pashun at her high school graduation. We chose this picture because you will see Pashun's pride at this moment. She was in her graduation gown, holding Taylen when he was just a baby. This picture shows how beautiful Pashun was and how dedicated she was to make a better life for her son. Pashun knew being a single mom would be challenging, but she was determined to provide for her son. She worked at CVS on 4th and 9th Avenue North, perhaps smiling at you when you visited the store. We will miss her smile, joyous laughter, and commentary on life.
Taylen was a sweet and happy toddler and loved his mom. During Pashun's work breaks, she would facetime so that she could spend every moment possible with him. During the day, Taylen would grab anyone’s phone and pretend to call his mom. To see them together and their love for each other was a blessing. We will remember their love and will keep them in our hearts. #JusticeforPashunandTaylen
Our friends and family have shown their support in many ways.
From Kita: I am thankful for those who have reached out, particularly the patients and their families, my former coworkers of Southern Comfort Home Care and Easy Living Home, and my private clients whom I serve as a home health aide. I have been caring for my elderly mother for the past few months, but for all those who remembered our time together and reconnected. It means a lot. And thanks to my community in St. Petersburg, who stopped by, called and messaged to check on my family. Your words, the food, the hugs, and the memories that you have shared of Pashun and Taylen have given me some comfort.
From Theo: My friends and colleagues at Truist and Suntrust Bank and the clients from the North Nebraska Avenue branch and the Gateway location, thank you. Your support has been immeasurable. In the past few days, you have taken the term “work family” and made the family part truer than ever. And to my neighbors in the K-bar Ranch area of Tampa, who often saw my husband and me with Taylen in the neighborhood, thank you for stopping by, hugging us, and checking in on your neighbor. My church community at CityLife Church Tampa has been praying endlessly. Kelvin and I have felt your prayers, and we ask that you continue praying as we need them now more than ever. And to all the people who do not know us or you may know us from one of my family members or friends, thank you for thinking of us and honoring our love for Pashun and Taylen.
