I’ll try to keep this short and sweet and HOPEFULLY Mandi doesnt kill me for this one, But so so so many of you have reached out to me asking for Mandi & Asher updates and room numbers (I think they’re on their 7th room at Cleveland clinic!) to send something or go visit which is AMAZING. I’m so proud to be from a small town where everyone is so tight knit and supportive of each other, and I know Mandi has been so touched by everyone reaching out, if even just via Facebook love.
We do not yet know the exact extent of the Paseka’s financial burden/insurance coverage but from my homework it’s not going to be pretty for an ambulance ride, c section, Ashers three weeks in Nicu, Mandi 2+ weeks in Cleveland clinic half of which in ICU, several biopsies/cultures, multiple procedures to drain fluid from around her heart and again from her lungs, countless ultrasounds and ct scans, everything right down to the breathing treatment gadgets add up not to mention the yet to come home health for her continued antibiotic treatment.
However, I do know that Her case has intimitely involved ob, pulmonology, cardiology, infectious disease, and the icu doctors; almost of all of which were present at the c section. I also know neither Mandi or Ryan planned to be off work a month and half early....and I can’t imagine how incredibly painful (figuratively, on top of her chronic literal pain) it’s been for Mandi to be separated from her sweet baby boy during this “time off work”...Soo even if this buys her some extra time off work home with her baby it’s 1000% worth every penny! So if anyone’s still in the Christmas giving spirit and are still looking for a way to reach out to help out everyone’s favorite crazy ginger and baby (ginger maybe?) ... here’s your chance !

What’s worse? a New Years in jail or a New Years in ICU ? man do I love my bestie! too soon?
P.s. If for any wonderful reason, Cleveland clinic is overly generous in their write off/all donations are not needed, they will be happily forwarded to March of Dimes for all the preemie miracles out there❤️
