What We Signed Up For

We're a crew of five taking on the Race to Alaska-a 750-mile, engine-free journey from Seattle to Ketchikan with no outside support. It's equal parts endurance, teamwork, and figuring things out as we go.

None of us have sailed the Pacific Northwest before, so naturally we figured we'd learn the hard way. We're in it for the adventure, the unknowns, and the kind of stories you only get from pushing your limits (and your dignity). We've got a questionable level of confidence, a deep love of sailing, and just enough common sense to know the Race to Alaska is a terrible idea... which is exactly why we signed up.

What Your Support Does

We're also racing with a bigger purpose. We're raising funds for the SoundWaters Young Mariners Program, a summer program for students entering grades 6-9 that combines sailing, science, and creative arts while fostering a strong, supportive community. It's about giving kids access to the water, building confidence, and creating opportunities for growth.
