Parvovirus Outbreak - Urgent Donations Needed
Donation protected
**Urgent Help Needed**
Donations over $2 are tax-deductible
Hi all,
I have set up this fundraiser to help the amazing rescue group Central Coast Animal Care Facility who run the Animal Management Facility on behalf of the Council. This is the shelter that saved our rescue dog Molly’s life. They believe all lives matter and because of this, they have HUGE vet bills.
Unfortunately in our region there have been numerous cases of Parvovirus ranging from Muswellbrook to Newcastle, and Dee’s shelter is located in the middle. If you have ever had to deal with Parvo, you’d know that the costs are huge and this is a reason a lot of people opt to euthanise their animals.
The shelter has bills in excess of $20,000 which they are struggling to pay being a not-for-profit animal rescue, especially whilst they are in the midst of this Parvo crisis. We love the fact that they are fighting to help the animals on a daily basis so we are reaching out to fellow animal lovers to see if you can help us to help clear their most vital services being their vet.
On average a Parvovirus case can cost approximately $5,000, but Jerry (a surrender at the Central Coast Animal Rescue Facility) had a vet bill closer to $9,000. This did not stop the team at CCAR, and they continued to fight to keep her alive despite being advised to euthanise her.
Yesterday, Jerry’s adopted parents took her home happy and healthy.
Can we all help these animals keep fighting by helping to raise the much needed funds for them? They need their vet and I know for a fact that the vet called Dee to advise how much their vet bill was up to and requested for some funds to be paid.
Their shelter is closed due to quarantine (because of this virus) which means they have very little funds coming in, but we know the team will give everything they have to fight for these animals.
If you can help in anyway (either by sharing this post or donating whatever you can) it will make a HUGE impact to allow these guys to keep fighting.
All donations over $2 are tax-deductible as this is a not-for-profit animal rescue.
