Dear Friends I'm posting this sad story for my best friend the owner and breeder of Australian Labradoodle puppies in Northern California. I'm Denise and my best friend Jeannine has done everything right. I've watched her dedicate her life to her breeding program. She's missed girl dates, trips, family get togethers and she gives all she has to her adopting puppy families. After following very good breeding practices, regualr visits to the vet doing health testing and proper vet care one of their breeding females that was getting artificially inseminated visited the vet 14 days in a row. Around day 10 this dog started getting sick. Within days this dog was critical. Instead of Jeannine makig her guardian family pay for the care of this female Jeannine paid it all. They saved this female breeding dog from near death but it brought parvo back from the vet to her home during the beginning days of it's visits. This dog was vaccinated but still came down with parvo. After all her expenses and care and failed artifical insemination and she paid over 12,000. Next, puppies started getting sick and she had eight sick puppies and lost one. They paid thousands and thousands for their care and paid for their family's puppies care. Many puppies care cost more than what the puppy was sold for. All the money going out devasted their business financially. After this they hired cleaners to decontaminate their home and property. They spent thousands on cleaners and things to keep the new litters safe. They hired a vet to advise them on the next litter that was already planned and due prior to finding out about the parvo. The beginnning of this litter was all healthy and all tested negative for parvo. They tested weekly and did extreme preventative care. They were doing good. They continued to allow families to visit and see puppies because it's so important that they have families pick their puppy and have the best adoption experience.
Jeannine and Dale are one of a kind breeders and do so much for so many. I've seen them help homeless people, feed families at the holidays, buy car loads of gifts for families in need, drop off groceries annoymously at homes where they new people were struggling, give hundreds and hundres on Go Fund Me for many causes, donate to Autism, donate to dog shelters, donate to funeral costs, donate for kids studying abroad, and really change many lives. Jeannnine brought her young sister in law, who had very little growing up, to a store and told her to grab as much as she could in a time frame and she would buy it all for her. Jeannine has helped friends by working days on end with their business and lives and not accept a penny in return. She has volunteered over 100,000 in photography over the last ten years and probably even more than that.
I'm asking that you donate not only to help Jeannine but for Jeannine to help her families. Some of the puppies have had vet bills for two days totaling 3700 and counting, One vet bill was 2950 for a week of care. There are bills from months ago over 8k. Jeannine lost puppies that she invested thousands to have born.
If you ever met two people so dedicated and hard working that follows the rules and are making the world better for dogs, it's Jeannine and Dale. They have rescued every kind of dog from mangy PittBulls to mutts on their death bed. She has volunteered photography for donations to animal organizations. They have donated the funds from dog sales to non-profits every year. They spend every weekend with families looking for a pet. They spend hours and hours with families preparing them to be a good pet parent. They give so much more than any breeder. Your donation will help them reimburse new famlies that have hefty medical bills just trying to save the puppy they've adopted.
These funds are needed immediately. Jeannnine told me they have paid out over 50,000 in the last three months on everything for parvo and the bills are still climbing.
I know Jeannine and if any large donations are made over 500 she will definitely do some beautiful family photos or pet photos for donations over 250. She had mentioned this to me as a way to raise funds to help pay her families. All she is worried about is her families that she isn't obligated to pay but only obligated to take their puppy back and provide a new puppy when one becomes available but instead she is paying the bills or more like struggling to pay the bills.
This parvo is on course to destroy her business. You're financial help is dire and I would hate to see another family owned small business collapse.... Especially one that has brought so much love and happiness to so many people.
