In the middle of the night of 2/10/2019, someone stole the catalytic converter from my car. In the process of ripping it out, they used a saw and cut off a bunch of cables including my transmission and many other parts. It was working perfectly fine that Sunday night, and then Monday morning when I was heading to work, it wouldn’t even start. I thought it was the simply the battery. Then once I got the battery charged, and it still wasn’t working, I had to have it towed to the mechanic. A few hours later, that’s when he called and told me the whole story of what happened. I’m coming here, because I’m the sole provider for my family. My husband is blind and can’t work, and we’re living paycheck to paycheck. There’s no way we can afford a new car, or even the parts for the car I own. It’s a Honda Accord, so the parts were really expensive. We will have a plate installed and welded to the car, to prevent this from happening again, so if you donate please don’t worry about this going on again. For now, my parents are letting me use their car, but they’ll need it back eventually since it’s their only one. They’re retired, so they will be willing to let me borrow it to get to work until the car is fixed. I really appreciate any little way you can help us. We’ve had a lot of hardship this past year, and it’s sad to say this has added to it. I never wanted to ask for money, but sometimes you have to when there’s no other options. I have no more savings, and our parents are unable to help us too. That’s why I am very grateful for any and all help.
